Research suggests that resistance to change is often the primary reason change fails.  It seems so simple:

    1. Employees are more ready to commit to change when they understand why it is occurring and how it will benefit them and their organization.
    2. Employees resist change when they don’t see the rationale for it.

Change will always create anxiety and fear, yet many change initiatives enjoy incredible success.  So what sets them apart?  We must, at some point, ask the question: How much resistance might we avoid if we would apply change management effectively?

Susan Newton of Development Strategies Plus will lead us in an interactive session on resistance and its impact on an organization’s ability to implement change, whether the organization has 3 employees, 300, 3000 or... You will begin to appreciate why resistance to change is a normal and natural reaction to change. The question is not, “Will we encounter resistance to change”, but rather, “How will we support our employees through the change process and manage that resistance?”

Please RSVP for this event by March 4th.  If you’d like to bring a guest, feel free to do so.  RSVP to Krysten James, jamesk@bakerboyer.com
