Want to hire great employees, but struggling with the interview process? Not sure of how to conduct a safe, legal job interview that also enables you to select the best candidate for your open positions? Need a check list of do's and don'ts on how to interview prospective employees? Are you ignoring the Red Flag's applicants may be giving during the process?

The job interview and selecting the right candidate is one of the significant factors in hiring because so many employers count on the job interview to help determine their best, most qualified candidates.

This will add to a PHR, SPHR or GPHR certified professional's HR knowledge within the category of Workforce Planning and Employment, the process of attracting and interviewing qualified job candidates, developing and implementing solid interviewing procedures and techniques are necessary to ensure the workforce’s ability to achieve the organization’s goals and objectives.

This learning event will enhance the hiring person’s skills in:

    • Screening Applicants for Interviewing
    • Preparing to Interview – development of appropriate and legal interview questions.
    • Conducting an Effective Interview
    • Identifying red flags applicants may present
    • Behavioral Interview Techniques – Identify the best behavioral interview questions to use in your interviews. Perfect your probing techniques to reveal your candidate’s core competencies. Focus on the applicant's past actions and behaviors, rather than subjective impressions that can sometimes be misleading, so interviewers can make more accurate hiring decisions.
