    Training Summary:

    This 2-hour presentation will cover key legal issues from 2015 that HR professionals and business owners need to be familiar with.  These important topics include the new "white collar' exemption amendments by the US Department of Labor to raise the salary basis test to significantly increase the number of employees entitled to overtime pay;  public policy wrongful discharge tort claim developments; recent independent contractor versus employee developments;  regulatory changes implemented by EEOC and WA state agencies in 2015; significant legal case opinions from the Washington Supreme Court, U.S. Supreme Court and 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, just to name a few.   You are encouraged to bring any questions you have on HR and employment legal issues.     

     

    About the Presenter:

    Keller “Kelly” Allen is a graduate of Gonzaga Law School, and is the founder of the Law Firm of Keller W. Allen, P.C., a labor and employment law firm based in Spokane, Washington.  Kelly’s practice focuses on representing public and private sector employers in labor and employment litigation and advice matters.  Kelly is a frequent speaker at employment law seminars throughout the Northwest.
