    FREE Webinar
    Tuesday, September 29
    12:00 p.m PT

Join Blue Mountain Human Resources Management Association at this Zoom meeting about the new overtime rules. There are exemption changes for executive, administrative, and professional workers, as well as outside salespeople and computer professionals.

Sylvia Cardenas, a Specialist with the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries (L&I), will present information in this Zoom webinar. You will learn about the updates, including changes to the job duties tests for each exemption category and the minimum salary threshold an exempt employee must earn to qualify for exemption from the protections of the state Minimum Wage Act.

The changes could result in employees being reclassified as salaried non-exempt or hourly non-exempt, in which they would be paid overtime for any hours worked over 40 in a workweek plus receive other protections under the Minimum Wage Act.  Learn what employer options you have to classify your employees.

Time for questions and answers will follow the presentation.

Pre-Approved for 1.0 SHRM PDC and HRCI Recertification Credit.

After registration, you will receive additional information on how to access the Zoom meeting.
