The Seattle District Office of the US Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division (WHD) is responsible for enforcing multiple laws, including requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Youth Employment provisions, the Family & Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Migrant & Seasonal Agricultural Worker Protection Act (MSPA), and multiple guest worker programs. This presentation will provide outreach and education about the federal FMLA to you and your organization.
Speaker Bio:
Stephen Yim is the Community Outreach and Resource Planning Specialist for the US Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division (WHD) in Seattle, WA. Prior to his current position, Stephen also worked as a policy analyst in the Washington, DC office and also conducted investigations in the Pacific Northwest for 6 years.
